Our Team


SEVEN is a psychological advisory and psychotherapeutic service resolving problems at the intersection of people, organisations, and spirituality. We work with our clients at depth to bring about wholeness and effectiveness. Unique and independent, SEVEN is delivered by psychotherapists with the Christian faith.

SEVEN psychotherapists are all psychodynamically or psychoanalytically trained practitioners with many years of clinical experience in private practice, NHS and organisational settings. All practitioners have worked for many years with church leaders and affiliated organisations, Our work is confidential and discreet.

Meet the Team

Maktuno and Alison have brought together their experience with church leaders, church structures and the church affiliated sector to provide the SEVEN service.

  • Alison trained at WPF Therapy as a psychodynamic psychotherapist and supervisor. She has had a private practice in central London for 16 years, with a significant representation from church leader and communities. She works for Marylebone HCC as a supervisor of trainees and assessor for Church of England candidates. Alison has worked as a psychotherapist in the prison sector and currently supervises psychotherapy in prisons.

  • Maktuno is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist who works as a consultant with teams in organisations, addressing the psychological challenges in structural change. In churches he discerns the spiritual and psychological roots of problems and has worked with church leaders around individual and cultural interventions. His background includes work in the NHS around the treatment of personality disorders and those in marginalised communities.

  • Ron is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist registered with the BPC, with a private practice in Victoria. He teaches on leadership for the Gregory Centre for Church Multiplication. Ron has written and led course content for The Salvation Army, Sarum College, Lee Abbey, the Guildford Diocese and many settings within the Church of England. Ron conducts assessments for candidates approaching ordination.
